    Twenty Twenty SEX

A New Year is upon us and if you haven’t heard it is Twenty Twenty- SEX!! Get it?! 2026, with a sexy spin to it. This is the year to focus on SEX- and wow that can mean so many different things to so many different people. So what are you waiting for, let’s get it on!

To me, a single mother, 46 years old, as well as a clinical sex therapist speaking with men and women daily about their sex lives, sex means many things. First it means identity. How do I identity as a sexual person? What role do I want sex to have in my life? How have I had sex be in my life thus far, and have I been satisfied? Where have I not been on my sexual journey that I want to explore. So much to unpack here.

Sex is something we all have the right to have, to want, to feel pleasure from, and deserve. This may be solo sex and the sexual relationship we have with our own selves and bodies, this may be the relationship we have with our partner/s, or this may be something we have yet to experience. All of these are amazing and cherished desires.

I always say to the clients I work with, that with sex, first comes comfort, then comes pleasure. When was the last time you took a minute (or hopefully more) and thought about what your relationship with sex is. What did you learn about sex growing up? What sexual experiences have you had in your life? Are you currently having sex? Do you enjoy the sex you are having, and the person/s you are having sex with? First we need to be comfortable thinking about sex, talking about sex, and having sex. Then the pleasure comes.

2026 (Twenty twenty sex) will be the year that we take inventory of our sexual selves and how we want sex to play a role in our life. Each day a story and post will be on my social media (please follow me!) both on Instagram (Keri_Green_LMFT), and Facebook (Keri Green, LMFT) with the hopes that each day you welcome sex (in any shape or way) into your life.

Stay tuned for more…. And wishing you the beginning of a new year that is the best (SEX) so far!
