Sex Therapy
Sex therapy is for individuals or couples who are having issues with sex either by themselves or with a partner. Some common concerns include low desire, shame, discomfort with their own sexuality, erectile dysfunction, painful sex, mismatched desire, hyper-sexuality/out-of-control sexual behaviors, emotional or relationship issues affecting sex life, and more.
Treatment often starts with really understanding what’s going on which includes talking, referrals, and questionnaires. In many cases, treatment also includes couples counseling and normalizing sex talk. It includes open and honest communication, vulnerability and the desire for growth and change.
Though many therapists work with individuals and couples, not all are trained and AASECT certified in sex therapy and may feel uncomfortable discussing it. Keri is trained in both Couples and Sex Therapy, is open minded, non judgmental, and wants to help.
